How does the Robotic teleprompter | autocue work?

The robotic teleprompter | autocue uses the same monitors as the fixed presidential system, however the poles are motorised so the level of the glass can be raised or lowered as needed. These systems are used at live events when there are speakers of different heights. The robotic poles can be set to accommodate these differences and are then controlled by the operator to change height for each person when required. They can also be dropped to their resting point if necessary, for example if a speaker does not wish to use them or if there is a performance on stage.

This video demonstrates the robotic poles raising and lowering.
